  Due to the hollidays it can take a bit more of time before a Staff member replies. In the meantime you can do yourself some checks: Take a look in the source of the e-mail to see if it was send from @wordpress.com. When you hover a link, does it show https://wordpress.com ? Take a look at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases to see when your domain expires.
