Receiving a lot of spam emails for over 2 days now

    Hello,

    I trust all is well.

    I am all of a sudden receiving more than 2000 emails (every second) since 2 days ago spam. My hosting said it looks like bots and it coming from my own wordpress email to my personal email address and business website. It’s all very confusing since I only have 2 websites and mailchimp isn’t affected, I tried deactivating contact form plug in but they still keep coming, even the hosting company tried to see what they could do from there end. I also changed passwords, everywhere, added and updated recaptcha. Still nothing. It’s coming from a site … the whole thing is very weird. It’s the first time we’ve had an issue like this one.

    We can’t help you as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. It’s very easy to spoof an email address, those emails could be send from wherever; they even don’t have to bes end through your website.
