Recent blogs have vanished
-
I’ve just gone to update my blog to find all recent blog entries have vanished. How do I get these back? I’ve not deleted them but my app crashed a few days ago and it seems to have deleted my posts

Hi there,
Of what site are you speaking?
I can see one site in your account, https://busymumbusytoddler.wordpress.com/.
That site only contains two published posts, but nothing has recently been deleted from that site – only the original default post with which the site was created, that was deleted a week ago.

Hi, I’ve managed to recover what I had lost as my phone had auto saved it so recovered that and my 5 blog entries appeared back under where they should be.
Thank you -
Are these draft post?
If so, it sounds like these are local drafts, meaning they are saved only on your phone, and haven’t been synced to our servers yet, as there are only two posts on https://busymumbusytoddler.wordpress.com/ on our end.
You’ll need to publish those post, or at the very least edit them while you have an active data connection on your phone, to sync them to our servers. Should the posts be removed from your phone for any reason before you can do that, they’ll be gone. We won’t be able to restore content that had never reached our servers in the first place.

Nope they were posts that had been published on the site page Busy Mum, Busy Toddler. A friend of mine who follows my blog had read them all and then when I asked her to check they had vanished.
However, they have now been recovered and they are back on as my friend has checked them and been able to read them.
Thank you for your help but all seems to be sorted now other than the fact my app won’t work.

Are you speaking of https://busymumbusytoddler.wordpress.com/busy-mum-busy-toddler/?
Those aren’t posts. That is a single static page on your site, that has manually been broken up into 8 pages using page breaks.
Blog posts and pages are two completely different types of content, and followers of your site don’t get notified when you publish a new page, nor when you update an existing page.
If you want people to receive notifications or see it in their Reader feed when you add new content, you’ll want to publish each update as a new, separate blog post instead.

If you’re happy with how you have it set up that’s fine, but just keep in mind that you’re actually making it very hard for new people to discover your site, and even for people who already know about it to discover new content doing it this way, as there’s no way for anyone to know you’ve added new content to that page unless they manually check it.

I only really have 1 person following and reading them anyway at the moment.
I’m doing it more for my mental health at the moment rather than for people to read etc. But I’ve set it up like this because my friend also has hers the same. She posts the link to social media when she’s updated it so if I decide for others to read it then I’ll do it this way too
