Recent RSS feed malfunction
-
Hello, when I check my RSS Feed for my WordPress blog, the last 10 posts I’ve posted over the span of 2 weeks aren’t there. It’s as if all of a sudden my RSS Feed is broken and not sending out signals. Consequently, I can no longer sync my WordPress blog with Facebook or third-party websites like Blog Lovin’. Any idea how to refresh my RSS Feeds?
Thanks!
B

Your feed is broken and has errors, and this is typically due to HTML errors in a post.
Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”
Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, switch from the visual tab to the HTML tab (waiting for the page to refresh) and then switch back to the visual tag (again waiting for it to refresh), and then click “update post.” Check your blog feed validation after this and see if the errors have gone away. If not, open the next post and do the same thing with it and so on till your feed validates.

Hey, thank you! Unfortunately this didn,t work. Now when I check my feed it still says this: http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.projetb.wordpress.com%2Ffeed%2F
I did the thing in the Settings – Writing
and clicked Edit on all my new posts that have that problem and switced to HTML, then pressed Update, then did the same for all the others.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you,
B

I looked at the results of the validator and apparently, in this post, you have a character that the validator does not like:
http://projetb.wordpress.com/2011/02/23/barcelona/
Check where it says:Park Gu#ëll: Gaudì’s infamous green space comissio …
(Remove the character between “Gu” and “ëll”).
Then go back to the validator and see if there are other mistakes of that kind.

I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but it’s still not working! I don’t get it. Ant other ideas?
Thanks!

OK so the feed seems to be working, but now it’s still not updating on Blog Lovin’ or on my Facebook page, but it’s telling me to do something else but I don’t understand that either, hehe.
Thanks for much for your help, and do you know what they’re suggesting me to do (if you pass it again through the feed validator)?

Great :-) Your feed appears to validate now indeed.
If you are referring to the “Recommendations” section, I think that can’t be done on WordPress.com, since we don’t have access to directly edit the RSS Feed.
-
Yes exactly, the recommendations portion. It’s telling me this:
This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
line 28, column 133: Unregistered link relationship: search [help]
… rdpress.com/osd.xml” title=”Projet B” />
^
I want to fix it on WordPress but I have no idea what it’s referring to… Any ideas? Thanks,
B

@projetb
If you scroll down you will dind more information. http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fprojetb.wordpress.comHowever, as we do not have control of our feeds and how they are confured and only Staff do, and as all of our feeds are producing this message now for a long time, I have no advice I can give you.
Both of these blogs of mine are being free hosted byt wordpress.com on their own domain and are being domain mapped. Note that it’s the same message appears as the one you got re: Feed validation for your blog too.
