  Hi WordPress,

  I am trying to post a recipe today. I am following the short code instructions on your website exactly, but when I click ‘preview’, it does not look the way its supposed to. Words are missing and the quotation marks are still there. I am only on the title/servings/description, and so far nothing looks right. This is my first time using the short code/recipe feature, but so far it is definitely not user-friendly.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi there,

  What is the title of the blog post you are working on so we can take a closer look? Is it a published post or still in draft form? Thanks for the additional info!

  The recipe shortcode is a bit nerdy for sure; it was released before we had the block editor and layout tools there, so I typically recommend you format your recipes using blocks instead, which also offer you the latitude to create any formatting you wish instead of using the styling that is built in to the shortcode (but cannot be easily modified.)

  Thanks for your offer, but I eventually figured it out. I just copied and pasted the example at the bottom and replaced it with my own recipe.
