  Hello! I cannot get rid of the recipes page in my list of pages no matter what I do. The page is not allowing me to rename it either. On my woodworking website I’m trying to build a recipe page is absolutely useless, and I would like it removed or renamed. Is there any way to do this?

  Hi there!

  Your Recipes page is currently set as the Posts page where all of your blog posts are being displayed right now. That’s why you can’t delete it.

  Can you tell us your overall plans for this site? Where do you want the blog posts to show up instead of the Recipes page?

  If you want to change the page, you can do the following:

  1. Create a new page by clicking My Site → Pages → Add New. Publish the page (this can be empty) with a suitable name. You will use this page to show the latest blog posts.
  2. Click My Site → Appearance → Customize → Homepage Settings.
  3. Under “Posts Page,” you’ll see that the “Recipes” is selected. Use the drop-down menu to change this. Select the new page you created.
  4. Click Save Changes.

  After that, the Recipes page will no longer be set as the Posts page which will allow you to edit it, remove it, or rename it.
