Recommend Theme with member login and calendar

  I’m looking for a theme that will enable me to have a front page with basic information as well as a member log-in capability. I also need a calendar inside the log-in.

  That’s not possible on a WordPress.COM hosted blog. You need to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and set up a WordPress.ORG install for that kind of site. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Just curious, which is the limiting factor? The calendar, the log-in, or both?

  There is no FTP access and we blogger cannot install the required membership by registration or calendar plugins here at WordPress.COM.They are available only for WordPress.ORG installs.
