Reconnecting to Google Authenticator

    I got a new phone and now I can’t use Google Authenticator for my two-step verification anymore. I have a set of general Authenticator backup codes, but i’m not sure I have any that are specific to WordPress. I’ve been avoiding dealing with the problem for about a year now, ahem, and so that’s about all I can remember. Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated!!

    Hi there,

    You will need to use your backup codes to first disable two-step authentication on your account before you’ll be able to set it up again with the new authenticator app on your phone.

    I suggest you try using the backup codes you have. If they are for WordPress.com, they should work – our system shows you should still have nine valid backup codes.
