Recover a domain name

  Hello !

  As a noob I have canceled my domain name nicolasbreche.com hosted by wordpress.com two month ago.

  Today I would like to create a new website but I’m not able to recover my domain name. It says that this domain is already attributed to a wordpress.com site.

  So the question is how can I get back my domain name ? Or how long does it take to have this domain free again ?

  Hi there!

  It’s never a good idea to cancel a domain you wish to keep using. In those cases, it’s best to transfer it, instead.
  From what I can see, your domain has expired back in October and is currently parked. We can still recover it, however, you would need to pay the registration fee of $18.

  I have just sent you an email with instructions, once you’ve paid, please reply here so we can start the recovery process. Thanks!

  Thanks for confirming. No need to do anything else, the domain is back on your account and you can manage it directly from here: https://wordpress.com/view/nicolasbreche.com.
