recovering a *.wordpress.com domain name used in the past

I would like to move my paggeology.wordpress.com domain from this account to a new account I’ve just set up with the email address I actually use for my business. I exported the site, created a new wordpress.com account, set up the domain name paggeologyllc.wordpress.com, imported the backup and updated it. Can I delete my old site and change my updated site to use the old domain name?
