  Hi Word Press,
  Back in December of 2018, you warned me that I needed to renew my domain or it would go away. Well, I didn’t and it did. Is there anyway to recover my blog content now?

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of cathleenholton.com?

  I’m afraid that domain is gone. It was removed from our system in February, and Whois records show someone bought it with GoDaddy on 1 May, so the domain now has a new owner.

  But all your content should still be safe on the WordPress.com site in your account. Because you were using plugins on that site, however, it’s just not possible to access it without a domain connected to the account.

  We have two options how to proceed here:

  1) You buy a new Business Plan and domain for the site. We’ll need to do everything manually, but once we reconnect the site to a new domain, you should have access to everything again.

  2) We try reverting your site to how it was before you installed plugins. With this process there is a risk of content on the site being lost, though.

  How would you like to proceed?
