Recovering Drafts from Expired domain

    I was unaware that the expiry of my domain would cause me to lose my site as a whole… Is there any way I can keep my blog as a free site and recover the drafts that I had saved?

    Then your site was not on WordPress.com. If the domain expired on a WordPress.com site, the site just goes back to using the free *.wordpress.com address.

    Of what domain are you speaking? The account you’re using to post here has never owned any domains with us.

    If you had a domain registered with another provider you need to contact them to get it back, and if you were using the open source WordPress software to build your site at another hosting provider, you need to contact that hosting provider to find out if your site’s files are still on their servers.

    We can’t help with that, as there’s no connection at all between WordPress.com and sites using the open source software and hosted somewhere else.
