recovering my website

    my site was shutdown due to non payment and am trying to get it back up. the original owner was not able to help but I was given privileges on the site as I maintained its content. how do I get the site back??

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com sites are never shut down due to non-payment. If a site was on a custom domain and the domain expired, all that will happen is that features added by the upgrade plan will be disabled, and the site will revert to the free address, as has happened with the site at http://kofc4604.wordpress.com/

    The domain that used to be on that site, kofc4604.com, expired several months ago and is no longer in our control. We have no way to restore that domain to the site any more.

    As you are now an admin on that site you’ll be able to buy a new Premium Plan for the site, and then you can try to register the old domain again as a new domain registration at My Site ->Domains ->Add.
