Recovering Website without host
-
Hello!
I’m trying to access our website, and I’m running into a lot of dead ends. I tried accessing the backend using the domain/wp-login.php links, which only redirected us to the homepage.
I don’t have the credentials to get to the backend of the site (I’m relatively new to the organization), however, I would like to be able to figure out how we can get access to the website, without access to our host (meaning, I won’t be able to access FTP or hosting file manager Ultimately, we’d just like to take the website down.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there,
Apologies, but we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host viamarathon.org on our WordPress.com managed hosting.
To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions. You can learn more about the performance and security benefits of our managed hosting here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/
Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at your current provider. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue.
The good news is that your hosting provider may be able to help in this instance since they are the only people that would be able to take your site offline. I recommend contacting your current provider for further assistance since they are in the best position to help. Thanks!
