Hi there! Thank you so much for your reply. It keeps saying it is already registered to another owner. Does that mean that perhaps it’s still just in the process of getting released? I am sorry if I am not using quite the right lingo for this; I’m always a bit confounded by domain mapping and such. I should not have let this lapse and am so hopeful that I can get it back.

After a closer look, it seems you have not had the domain nicolarendell.com registered here for some time. Did you transfer it to another company?
I see you last renewed on our platform in 2018, but no domain renewals since then as the domain was no longer under our control at that point. You can confirm we show no domain renewals after 2018 here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/
Is it the case that you started out on WordPress.com but moved your hosting to another provider around that time? Because we are not in control of your domain we’re not able to look into this further, but I can see here that the domain is registered with Namesilo, so you may wish to contact them to see if they can assist you with restoring the domain to active status. It may be the case that they have not fully released the URL yet based on what I am seeing in this public reporting tool: https://gwhois.org/nicolarendell.com
