Redirect and URL Issues

  I spent all morning attempting to change my site, p1boggan.wordpress.com, to a more traditional site name, like biasedfan.com or thebiasedfan.com. This is literally all I would like to do, yet ran around in circles until I realized I have NO CLUE how to get this done. Not only that, but it now appears that even though I cancelled my redirect, the original p1boggan.wordpress.com is still redirected to anunbiasedfan.com, which I cancelled. I purchased new domains, transferred content, read every Help forum possible, etc. to no avail. Please help. A simple URL change (I believe that’s what it’s called) is all I’m looking for.

  To change a blog URL ending in wordpress.com, please follow these steps. Another alternative is to purchase a custom domain name to take “wordpress” out of the domain altogether.

  To register a domain name go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
