redirect to another domain

  I bought a new domain from my country, Romania, which is https://jumparoundtheworld.ro/ and I want to redirect this wordpress wejumparoundtheworld.wordpress.com to that domain.

  I have read on your website https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/ that site redirects will only point to a non-ssl ( http:// ) url.

  But I am asking if I am buying the redirect will it work?
  Or what should I do?

  Hi Madalina,

  If you want to point your domain to your WordPress.com site, you need the mapping upgrade and not the Site Redirect one.

  Here’s how mapping works on WordPress.com and how to set it up:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Ah, you want to redirect the old site to a new site, right? You can do that here:

  https://wordpress.com/domains/add/site-redirect/
