Redirect URL to WordPress website

  Hello,

  I’m making a website for the Old Monterey Foundation, and they wanted a blog that had the domain name: http://www.oldmontereyfoundation.org

  I got that all figured out, and it’s perfect. However, their old URL was http://www.artintheadobes.org and they want the old url to direct to the new wordpress website (oldmontereyfoundation.org). How can I do this? Thanks!

  Hi Stephanie!

  What you can do is purchase the Domain Mapping upgrade for artintheadobes.org and attach that to your WordPress.com site: oldmontereyfoundation.wordpress.com.

  Currently you already registered the domain: oldmontereyfoundation.org on that site as well. If you keep oldmontereyfoundation.org as the primary domain, if your readers go to artintheadobes.org they will be automatically redirected to oldmontereyfoundation.org.

  In order for the domain mapping to work, you will have to update the nameservers of artintheadobes.org to:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
