  domain names aren’t redirected by wordpress.org but by changing the settings of your domain at your hosting. You get more info from your hosting support.
  To use your custom domain on the wordpress.com platform, you need a paid plan together with domain connection, https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
