Redirecting site: link transfer

I’m looking to redirect my wordpress.com site to .org so I’m able to monetize through google adsense and amazon affiliates. The biggest traffic driver to my site is through a post that included a downloadable link. The file is loaded into wordpress. Most of the traffic has come through Pinterest and blogs/sites who have shared it over the years.

If I bring the site over to .org will that link move over too? As in, if someone clicks on the pin which was linked to my old site, will that post as well as the download link come up seamlessly? I hesistate to pay to have it moved over if not. The amount of traffic from that post is the whole reason I want to switch and monetize.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, we do offer a site redirect upgrade that you can take advantage of. You can read more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/.

Since this would be a permanent 301 redirect, you would only need to have it for the first year. After that, most all search engine results should have gotten all the links changed over to your .org site.

Let us know if you have any questions or problems.
