Redirecting to a new site

I am new to using WordPress and I would like to know more about how the Redirecting Upgrade for $12 works. I currently have another website on a website hoster called 1and1, and I would like to know if I post things on my wordpress blog, does the Redirecting upgrade automatically redirect everything I post as soon as I post it? Or, if I get the upgrade now, will it only redirect the posts that I currently have on my wordpress blog?

The blog in question isn’t set up yet because my boss isn’t yet sure if he wants to use wordpress. This is just a general question so I can understand how wordpress works.

If you have any further questions please take them to Staff. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form. -
WordPress.ORG install or hosted on WordPress.COM. You make reference to a non-WordPress.COM site. Do you currently have a blog on 1and1?
