  What does it mean if I have 11 referrers from Facebook in one day? I know it was shared by someone once, so are the 10 other people those who keep sharing my blog? I just want to know where these stats are coming from and if there’s anyway I can track the sharing

  Hi there,

  A referrer stat means that a visitor reached your site after clicking a link to it on another website. We know this because the other website sends us that information to tell us where this visitor is coming from. So in this case it means during that day 11 people clicked on a link to your site that was shared somewhere on Facebook.

  We have no way of knowing who shared that link or who the people are who clicked on it, though, as Facebook does not provide that information in the referrer header they send us when someone clicks the link.
