Refund

Hi. I was charged $17 on the 13th of November and another $17 on the 14th of November to re-map the domain timothyrhodes.com.au and thatclumzygam3r.com.au. I no longer use WordPress.com, GoDaddy hosts my website now and it was designed through WordPress.org. I no longer require the domain mapping service so I cancelled it and requested a refund. I still haven’t received my refund.

I’ve just read that you don’t give refunds for domain mapping after two days. The reason why I didn’t request a refund prior to those two days is because I thought the email I received was sent by WordPress.org and not WordPress.com.

As I mentioned before, GoDaddy hosts my website and it was designed through WordPress.org. I originally designed my website through WordPress.com but when I contacted GoDaddy they told me that they were unable to host websites designed through WordPress.com so I had to design the whole thing again.

Having two websites, one called WordPress.com and one called WordPress.org that both provide roughly the same services is odd and needlessly confusing to consumers.

  • Hi there,

Domain mapping can be refunded within 30 days – It is domain registration that cannot be refunded after 48 hours. Therefore, I have refunded the domain mapping subscription purchases to you. It will take 5-7 business days for the refund to reflect on your account.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
