Refund for a website that never went public

  I attempted to put together a website for a media group, in the meantime, they decided they did not want a website for the entire group. I had already charged account prior to this knowledge waiting to get adjustments to complete website….is there any way you can refund this amount ($300) since this never was published and owners decided not to establish a website altogehter?
