Refund for premium upgrade auto renew
-
Today I was charged for another years premium account subscription through the auto renew function on my WordPress upgrades. This happened a month before my previous year subscription was going to run out and I planned on cancelling my site and domain name before then. When I go into My Upgrades menu to cancel my superscription I’m told:
“While your upgrade was purchased too long ago for this product’s 30 day refund policy, canceling now will ensure that it won’t be automatically renewed in the future. Please note that renewals are not refundable.”
This only happened today I want to receive a refund for my premium account subscription as there is still a month before my previous subscription runs out.
Thanks, Jarrod

I’d be happy to refund your WordPress.com Premium upgrade for you. Since you’ve used it to register a domain name, there are two ways we can proceed:
1) I can refund your entire Premium purchase, including your domain jpriestleyaudio.com . This will lead to a total refund of $99. Your domain will become unavailable for several weeks; after this period, anyone may purchase the domain name. If you’d like a complete refund, and are okay with the prospect of potentially losing jpriestleyaudio.com , this is the way you’ll want to proceed.
2) If you want to keep your domain, I can refund your Premium purchase, less the domain registration fee. This will lead to a total refund of $73. You will be able to continue to use your domain name, jpriestleyaudio.com , or you can transfer it to use with another service elsewhere.
Please let me know how you’d like to proceed.

Option 1) sounds great as I am not intending on using that domain name now or in the future. Thanks again.

I have processed that refund for you. Please be aware that it can take up to 7-10 business days for refunds to show up on your statement.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
