You are no longer eligible for a full refund because you canceled the upgrade earlier today which was outside the 14 day refund window. You can learn more about our refund policy here:

    https://wordpress.com/support/payment/chargebacks/#getting-a-refund

Since you were outside our refund policy, we can restore your WordPress.com Personal plan and domain and you can continue using it for the remainder of your plan term.

If you want to use the domain elsewhere, you can update the domain nameservers to point to your new site – let us know if you need instructions on how to do that.

    I hope that clarifies things!

So will i get partial refund or something ?

  • Unknown's avatar

We don’t do partial refunds. Since you were outside our refund window as noted above, you would not be receiving any refund.

If you want us to restore your domain and plan since you aren’t eligible for a refund, let us know and we can take care of that for you.

I would like to restore my domain. Could you provide information about following the instructions?

Thanks for confirming. I went ahead and restored your domain and Personal plan back to your account.

If you want to use the domain as your primary domain on your WordPress.com site, you need to set the domain as primary.

If you’re wanting to use the domain on a site hosted elsewhere, you’ll need to update the domain nameservers to point to your new hosting provider. You can do this immediately.

If you want to transfer the domain to another domain registrar, you will need to wait for the 60 day transfer lock to expire. This lock is set by the domain registry authority ICANN not WordPress.com. Your domain would be locked until 2021-12-10 and at that point you can transfer the domain.

You should be all set. Let us know if you have any other questions!
