I want a refund for the “Go Premium” purchase I made 18 hours ago, but I want to keep my domain as crsbwsu.com and not mess up all the customization I have made – so how can I pay for the crsbwsu.com domain but keep the customization?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I’d be happy to help you with this! Your custom domain, including private registration, is $26/year. To keep the customization on your site, you’ll need to keep the Custom Design upgrade ($30/year), as well.

I’d be happy to remove WordPress.com Premium but leave your custom domain and custom design upgrades, and issue a refund for $43 (the cost of Premium minus the two upgrades you want to keep). If that sounds good to you, please reply here to confirm and I can take care of that for you.

If you have any questions about that, just let me know. :)

And what does the customization do? Can I have a background photo without the upgrade? If you’d be able to visit my blog at crsbwsu.com at let me know if you see anything that could be effected by not have the customization upgrade, that would be super! If not, what exactly does the customization upgrade do?

    Hi there,

The custom design upgrade includes Custom Colors, Custom Fonts, and Custom CSS. (You can take a look at each of those links for all of the details about each feature.) You can have a custom background photo without the custom design upgrade, but right now you are using some of the other custom design features — so getting rid of it will affect your blog’s look.

If you go to Appearance > Customize in your dashboard, you can open the customizer and take a look. The sections titled Colors, Fonts, and CSS will only be used on your blog if you keep the upgrade. This includes the custom colors and the custom font you are using on your blog.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Hi! Thank you for all the information! So all I want is the $26/year domain and private registration, thank you! The customization upgrade isn’t necessary to me, so I will drop that. I only have 6 hours left before I can no longer get my refund, so I hope you can help me solve this matter in time. Thank you for all your help!

Ok, thanks for confirming that! :) I removed your WordPress.com Premium upgrade and issued a $73 refund (the cost of Premium minus the $26 for your domain and private registration). Please note that it can take up to 10 days for the refund to appear on your bank statement.

Let me know if I can provide any further help!
