  So, I have not used (or logged in to) my wordpress account in ages and did not realize my account was on auto-renew.
  Is there any way to get my annual payment refunded as I no longer use or want the service?

  The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites and have never bought any upgrades from WordPress.com. Can you please tell me what site you are referring to? Then I can advise you how to proceed from there.

  It was the emailed receipt that made me realize I was paying for something I wasn’t using.
