Registering a domain privately not working?
-
I registered for a domain and got the $99 upgrade. Then was trying to buy the $8 updrade to register the domain privately. The direction posted by Hanni in your blog on July 30th was not helpful. I can’t find the Upgrades>domains? to type in my domain.
HELP!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – were you able to get this sorted out? The domain carolinasingleblog.com looks like it has the privacy option on it, and you can see it under Store > My Upgrades:
https://carolinasingleblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
Just let me know if you need further help.

Kathryn, much appreciate your email but still confused. I clicked on link you provided but did not see the privacy option listed. Putting that aside for a second, I have several questions to perhaps save you and I some time:
1. Was the $8 privacy option perhaps included in the $99 upgrade? If so, maybe that’s the reason its not showing, and
2. Even if I can’t see it listed, can you please confirm that indeed I have it so that I am not spammed, and
3. How do I access the “settings” in my new blog so that I am moderating discussions and comments?Bob

Yes, it’s included.
2. Even if I can’t see it listed, can you please confirm that indeed I have it so that I am not spammed, and
Yes, you have the privacy option. Have a look at this screenshot:
http://cl.ly/image/122G2B2I0c2A
You can see that the privacy option is active, with a link to cancel it. You can also see the regular (non-Premium) price listed as $26. A non-private domain is $18.
Finally, I did a whois database search and you can see that the privacy option is enabled and no personal details are listed:

Thanks. Perfect.
By the way, your messages to me show a picture of you beside them. But, my messages to you show this rather unattractive pink/rose thing. Am I supposed to find a way to post my headshot on my blog so you would see it too?

You can add a photo of yourself – or any other image you’d like next to your username – by uploading a Gravatar here:
https://wordpress.com/?ssl=forced#!/settings/public-profile/
You can upload a photo at the bottom, and then click Save Changes.
This same image will also be shown when you make comments under this account, or using the email address connected to this account, on any blog that supports Gravatars.
Just let me know if you need any help with it!
