Registering Blog with Office Word Program

  I have been using Windows Writer for writing posts. I wanted to try Office 365 Word which has a Blog Post function. I continually get the reply that the blog will not register which is strange because WordPress is listed as one of the main blog providers. I read on the Microsoft forums that Google requires one to set one’s security settings to enable less known apps. Is there something I should be setting in WordPress settings to solve this problem?

  I was finally able to register my WordPress.com account with Word 2013 by adjusting my account URL from http to https. I hope this helps with your issue too.
