Registering domain name wordpress.com

  I am trying to register a completly new and available domain name with a wordpress.com site (https://hookedonwords.wordpress.com) . However, I always get the message that the domain name is already registered e.g. “Oh no! szvdawsvgrwa.co.uk is already registered.”.

  Can you tell me how to get around this problem?

  We cannot register .co.uk domains here, only .com, .org, .net, and .me.

  In this case, you’ll need to register the domain elsewhere and map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
