registering my domain

  I want to registar my domain so wordpress does not show in the address but am concerned those that have the original site address with wordpress in it will not be redirected. Please advise!

  Howdy,

  Your WordPress.com address will be redirected to your new domain name automatically.

  Simply go to Store -> Domains in your blog’s dashboard, enter your new domain name there, and follow the prompts.

  Keep in mind that it may take a couple of hours before your new domain is fully active.
