  i would like t keep the domain i have used to recrate my website with wordpress.com. is this still doable, free of charge? if so how?

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of a custom domain? To use a domain you already own with a WordPress.com site you need one of our paid plans, but then you can connect as many domains registered elsewhere as you want.
