registration transfer

  Hi. I have a site registration that i wanted to transfer to wordpress.com. It has the domain ‘.wales’ The transfer has started, but because wordpress.com doesn’t accept .wales domains, it hasn’t got further. ICANN record the transfer is prohibited. I can’t find where the registration details are to cancel the request. At the moment, its in limbo – the former registration holder (IONOS) says they can’t do anything.

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  As we cannot receive .wales domains, the transfer must be canceled on the original registrar’s end.

  You’ll still be able to map the domain to your site though: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
