Reinstall website

Hi WordPress/all. My website was recently hacked, and it seemed to have messed up my log in details (it wouldn’t even recognise my recovery email). It was relatively new – so I decided to reinstall the whole thing. I dumped the files – but now my host WordPress installer won’t play nice – because it says ‘An installation already exists at https://xxxxxx as per our records. To re-install the application please uninstall the existing installation!’ – Erm – what do i do now please ?!?!

We’re only able to help with sites hosted on WordPress.com in this forum. Your site is using a different version of the WordPress software than we use here, and we don’t have any access to your site’s servers to help you fix things.
The users in the WordPress.org forums will have a better idea how to fix this, so I’m going to ask you to please post there instead:

From what you describe it sounds like the problem might also be on your hosting provider’s end, in which case you’ll need to contact their support directly. The forums can only help you with the WordPress software, not with your hosting setup itself.
