Related post guidance

  Hello,

  On this support page:

  Homepage

  …it states:

  General Information
  Related content will not appear unless we think we can show at least 3 good results (to avoid simply cross-linking posts with one another).

  However, here:

  Display Related Posts on Your Blog

  …it states (in the Requirements section):

  At least 10 published posts
  At least 500 bytes (about 100 words) per post

  Having just spent an hour testing this it seems to me as though both pages refer to the same functionality. Toggling in the Traffic section in Jetpack changes the Related posts settings in Reading settings.

  From my testing 10 posts are needed not 3.

  Can someone confirm that when it says 3 posts are needed for related posts to appear:

  Homepage

  …that this is incorrect? Ten are actually needed.

  Hi there,

  The Jetpack support page does not say only 3 posts are needed. It says related posts will only appear if Jetpack thinks there are 3 good results it can show.

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but connected here via the Jetpack plugin, so the Jetpack instructions for this feature apply to your site.
