Release of Domain Name

Hi, I canceled my domain in the beginning of January. I am waiting for my domain to be released but I do not know who to contact or where I should look to receive an update. I’ve checked to see if the domain to available on other sites and it does not show up. I do not believe anyone took the domain because it is very specific and unique. Any pointers or advice?

Deleting or cancelling a domain when you want to reuse it elseweher is the baddest idea to do. When you delete a domain you are stating you really don’t need it anymore. Aftre a lengthy of period it eventually is available agian.
If that domain domain was registered by wordpress.com, you just have to wait untill a staff member is available.

I am aware of that now. When u cancelled it I chose the option that released the domain name immediately instead of waiting for it to expire in one year. How often are staff members available?

When a domain is canceled, it doesn’t always become available for immediate registration—it typically goes through a process before it’s fully released. The best approach in cases like this would have been to transfer the domain instead of canceling it.
I checked, and the domain name is no longer with us. There’s usually a small window where restoration is possible, but unfortunately, that’s no longer an option in this case. If the domain isn’t showing as available yet, it’s possible someone else might have re-registered it.
Your best bet now is to keep an eye on it using a WHOIS lookup tool or a domain backorder service, which can help you reclaim it if it becomes available
