Releasing DNS Mapping from WordPress
-
I have a new site via WP and the domain I purchased through Google Domains was mapped to WP DNS. That has since lapsed. I would like to disconnect the mapping so that my original domain can be found on web. I have set it under Google Domains to use Google servers but it can not be searched and pulled up on the net. I think it has to do with being mapped to WP. How do I release it and close this account, please?
MelThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You failed to provide details.
1. What is the domain URL?
2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
4. When was the upgrade purchased?
5. When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation, or the domain expiration take place?I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. Hello,
I would like to disconnect the mapping so that my original domain can be found on web.
Domain mapping for melsgrant.com is no longer active on your account. Instead of using that domain, people can now view your site using your free WordPress.com address:
https://melsgrantdotcom.wordpress.com/
Is that what you mean’t when you said ‘so that my original domain can be found on web’?
Thanks!
