Remapping on expired domain

  I am trying to remap an expired domain name, wordpress is telling me it is in use. I own the domain name. What can I do next to get access to the domain name?

  Hi

  skycastlecreative.com and it does currently come up using: douglasknabskycastle.wordpress.com-
  Unfortunately we were not aware that the domain mapping expired and when I went to renew it I am informed that it is “in use”. I am not certain where to ask for assistance from wordpress, whether I can reserve it while it is in a holding period or what to do next.

  Any advice will help.

  I checked the domain you provided and it is indeed under a different account than the one you are contacting us from. Do you remember creating a different account? Or do you know of another user who mapped the domain?

  Hi,

  Yes. I mapped the account and put the site together for my husband: doug knab. I am an administrator. My main account is saraknab.wordpress.com. I may have used a number of usernames. What info do you need?

  Do you have access to your husbands account? If so, you can log in and see if you can access the domain.

  If it is a case of not remembering the exact username details, what I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can check all of your e-mails and see which one receives the message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.
