Removal

    As there is only one post, personally I would just delete that and then go to “Settings” and set the site to “Private”. Then you always have the option to use the site again in the future. If you really want to delete the site then click on “Settings” and scroll down on the right to “Delete site”. That will remove the blog from the Internet but, unlike if you set the site to “Private”, it will leave instead a WordPress.com placeholder message saying that the site has been deleted.
