Remove Administrators from Blog
-
Hello, we are running a wordpress blog for our university chair. Since research assistants leave the chair after their assignment, I wanted to remove the admin role from two users that are no longer part of the staff. The bad thing is: I cannot remove their admin role. The system says I am not allowed to.
Please advice how to proceed.
Thanks in advance and kind regards
MoritzThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For security it is preferable to only have one Administrator. Are you an Administrator yourself? Do you own the blog in question? If it is a WordPress.com site then this link might help:

Hi there,
Which admins are you trying to remove? Any admin on the site can remove any users on the site at My Sites ->People, except for the user, anthonysoprano
That account is the owner of the site and cannot be removed. To remove that user from the site, that person will need to log in and transfer ownership of the site to another admin instead.

Yes, it was about the owner of the site. I contacted the owner in order to have the ownership transferred.
Thank you for your help!
