Remove blog heading since heading can reside in imager, how?
-
I’ve tried a lot of predefined designs but it seems that the blog section, where I intend to post progress in a project, all have both a (very large) heading with letters and then an image bar intended for some extra headline text.
But Ii only need one of these, preferably the image bar. How can I remove the other (rather boring) heading? Alternatively, I can remove the image bar but I find no way to put an image behind the ordinary headline for blog section.
On the start page I found a control to remove the heading though, but that’s not the page where I need this.
My page is not live yet so no link, sorry.

Hi @millievolt, this will usually depend on the theme you’re using. Is the site hosted here on our services? I noticed you have two currently. Staff is able to view sites so we can provide help, if you’d like to tell us which site and which page you’re struggling with.

Sorry, been away from this.
So here’s an example:
millievolt.wordpress.com/progress/I’d really prefer if I would only have the image bar, then I could include the word “Progress” there instead. I think that would look better and be more logical.

“Progress” is just the page’s title.
You could remove that in the editor, and then just add that text to the Cover Block below.

Thanks but I don’t get it. If I press “edit” (that’s “redigera” in my Swedish speaking version of WordPress.com) in the lower right corner then I can edit the heading text but I can’t remove it completely including the space it occupies.
To the left of “edit” in the lower right corner I have something named “anpassa” (maybe “adjust”in English?) where I can adjust a couple of things regarding layout but I see no way to remove the heading.

Hi there,
Firstly, I like your username/site title. You got a good chuckle out of me. :)
The Anapassa option (we call “Customize” in English) is to be thought of more as your “site wide” settings. The site title, colors, widgets, etc. These are things that show up on every page of the site.
For a specific page you want to change though, you will want to edit the page directly. In this case you edit the page to remove the title. This is difficult to explain in words, so I recorded a quick video to show you how to do it.

Hope this helps!
