Remove domain

  Hello,

  I’d like to remove the domain “suriparmar.com” from my account. I had originally started up a wordpress site but removed it, but I’m trying to build my site via another server and the address still directs to wordpress.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that suriparmar.com no longer connects to WordPress.com, but instead appears to connect to an outside server using these “name server” records:

  dns5.totalchoicehosting.com
  dns6.totalchoicehosting.com

  Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still?

  Thanks for checking – the website works when I’m browsing incognito but on my regular browser it redirects to WordPress.

  Did you change these settings recently? If so it’s common to see odd behaviour like this for a short period.

  To explain, there is a process called “propagation” where information about the domain change is updated world-wide. This process can take up to 24+ hours (though usually much less) and during that time you may see odd results, like warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”, a blank white screen, etc..

  Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

  The fact you can see if you are incognito (which loads the page without cache) indicates that you may need to try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

  Or just relax and wait a bit, as this does work itself out on it’s own if you do nothing.
