Hi there,
To clarify, when you purchase the yearly version of the Premium plan, which includes a free domain name for the first year, that domain is “bundled” with the plan so that if you cancel Premium, it cancels the free domain as well.
However, you do have a few options for getting it back, let us know which you would like to move forward with!
1. Wait for grace period to end – Your domain is in a 5 day grace period (from the time you canceled) but at the end of that it goes on sale again. As long as no one buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider. According to our records, it will be available on or about October 24th
2. Let us recover the domain – Because you have already been refunded, we can send an invoice for registration fees and restore the domain. You’ll be able to connect it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
3. Stay on WordPress.com – The cost of your domain is included in your plan purchase. To restore your domain just purchase a new yearly plan (which includes the domain registration cost) and then let us know so we can reattach the domain to your WordPress.com site.
Hope that helps! Please let us know how you would like to proceed, thanks!
