Please send email to account again. I think the AOL account may be the correct one. It was deactivated and I reactivated it today.

  • The email is not an AOL address, I am afraid. So that will not help.

    You’re pretty great.
I spent a lot of time getting reinstated in AOL. I have to laugh. I thought that would do it.
    Anyway

Gmail and Yahoo are the only two email addresses that I have used consistently for years so If neither of these work than nothing will.

What’s weird is that when I recently returned to WordPress I saw had TWO old blogs (that I wrote at the same time using the same email) and I was able to delete one of them.
I’m hoping when I sign up to a host account the old blog will slip away into oblivion.
You have been patient and kind.
    Thank you.

I will be choosing a host and installing Word Press.

Should I use my current WordPress user name when I sign up to WordPress?
What about my current email address?
Should I use the email address currently registered with Word Press?
I read that WordPress only allows one email address.

What should I do so I have no more problems?

  • If you are setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site with a webhost, you can use any email or username you like. Our system will not be connected to your self-hosted site. So none of the account rules will apply.

A great resource for self-hosted sites is here:

    Thank you.

In closing I need to say that I always have been able to get into accounts; even bank accounts, when I’ve misplaced or forgotten information.

This is the first time I have been totally locked out. I know I am not the only one. I am aware of the need for security but there are better ways to achieve this.
Not your fault. You’re the messenger. You have been helpful and patient.

    Thanks for all your attention.
