  I need to take down a blog registered to an old email I can now longer access. The customer service isn’t helping me with options to achieve this.

  Wordpress.com has a very stricte policy regarding access to accounts and sites. Only the owner is able to delete a site. If you lost access to an account, you have to prove your ownership one way or another at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
