Removing a weblog
-
Hello.
Just wondering if the team WordPress can remove a weblog? There was this weblog that was created back in 2007, and I really wanted the domain name that it has. The weblog is itgoeson.wordpress.com. The name of my blog is It Goes On. Since there was this weblog I am currently using the domain name itallgoeson.wordpress.com which I think affects my blog. Since it hasn’t been used, can I just use it? Will the WordPress team be able to remove it? Thanks!
Feedback would be highly appreciated. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We do not reuse or reassign blog names on WordPress.com. Please refer to this support page for more information:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
If you like, you can attempt to contact the owner of that blog and ask them if they would like to transfer it to you. You can do this by either leaving them a message using a contact form, if one exists on their site, or by leaving a comment on an existing page or post requesting they contact you.
If you are able to reach the blog owner and they are willing to transfer the blog to you, here are the instructions they can use to do that:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
If they do not respond or refuse the transfer, you will need to select a different name for your WordPress.com blog. We also would not delete or take down the site just because it has not been updated. That is at the full discretion of the site owner.
Keep in mind, we also offer an upgrade for custom domain names and you can use any WordPress.com blog URL underneath a custom domain. For more details about how domain mapping works, see this guide:
Thanks,
