removing author designation from posts
-
Hi,
I am using the Promenade theme.
How do I get rid of the “by jamesprimosch” beneath the title of every blog post? I am the only author of my blog and it looks silly to keep identifying the author of every post.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
That author byline is part of your theme’s design. If you’d like to customize your theme’s design to remove it, you can do that with the Custom Design upgrade using Custom CSS.
If you decide to go that route, we have tips for getting started with CSS here:
If you have CSS questions, most of our CSS support is done in the CSS Customization forum by expert staff and volunteers:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
If you have any other questions about setting up or customizing the Promenade theme, you can also contact the theme author directly in the Promenade support forum here:

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Hi,
Thanks for the info. It seems a shame to have to purchase an upgrade and start messing with exactly the stuff I wanted to avoid by using WordPress just to get rid of one small design element – particularly one that seems oddly superfluous since – I think – the majority of blogs have a single author.
I appreciate the pointer toward the forum, maybe I can find a simpler solution there.

You’re welcome. You may want to let the theme author know your request — they may be able to make an adjustment to the theme’s design so that blogs with a single author don’t display the author’s name. :)
