Removing Google Workspace glitch

I’m following the steps to disconnect my WordPress-owned Google Workspace subscription so that I can transfer the subscription to Google. I’ve gone through these steps:

    1. Visit your site’s dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Billing → Active Upgrades.
    3. Select your Google Workspace subscription.
    4. Under “Manage subscription,” turn off the “Enable auto-renew” toggle.
    5. Select Cancel at the bottom of the screen.

When I check the box confirming I’ve read the details and click “Continue Removal,” it brings me to a page asking me to answer a few questions before continuing. No questions appear, and the “Continue” box is not clickable. Without it, I can’t complete the removal.

Asking the AI chat led to needing to speak to a human, and a human is, of course, unavailable.

    Can anyone help diagnose this?

  • Hi there,

That sounds like a glitch with the cancellation page not loading the survey questions properly, which would keep the Continue button disabled.

A few things to try first:

    • Open the cancellation page in an incognito/private browser window (this rules out browser extensions or cached data causing the issue).
    • If you use an ad blocker or privacy extension, try disabling it temporarily, as those can sometimes block the scripts the page needs to load.
    • Try a different browser entirely.

If none of that works, you can reach us directly through https://wordpress.com/help/contact and we can process the Google Workspace cancellation on our end. Your email service won’t be interrupted – after the cancellation goes through, Google will send you an email with instructions to set up billing directly with them, and you’ll have 30 days to complete that.
