Removing Mapped Domain from WP.com

  So since the support team is on vacation… I’m just supposed to wait for now?

  I recently registered a domain (http://www.asydik.com) with WP.com but soon realized that I wanted access to more than what they could offer. So, a friend is lending me hosting space with a WP.org install. Now I’m trying to point my domain to my new site http://asydik.xtothezracing.com … aside from changing my DNS, is there anything else I’m supposed to do? Because it’s not working.

  There’s a couple problems that may be the cause:
  1) My domain is mapped to http://asydik.wordpress.com and I need it removed.
  2) After some research, I found out that since Automattic is a domain reseller, we don’t get full capabilities with the Domain Manager. (I’ve seen the forward option in screenshots but we don’t actually get it).

  If your registered a domain within the last 2 days your can cancel domain mapping from your dashboard and request a refund. If your purchase was not within the last two days please contact Staff at support@wordpress.com
